Another long and boring post for anyone other than me. I get a kick out of documenting a typical day and rereading it later...
4:10 am - Andy's alarm goes off. I'm pretty sure I turned it off without waking him up. Despite the fact that he has an alarm clock on his side of the bed, the man still sets my clock on the days he has to get up. I don't understand that. I typically get up around 5:30 so I can drink coffee before the big kids get up, but I decided to sleep in today.
6:12 a.m - Both Jack and Molly are up and in my room. I ask Jack if he is dry since he's been wetting the bed lately. He says that he is dry and I give him a sleepy high five. However, he says, "Mommy, I have something to tell you. Blue Puppy is wet. I have to change him." Lately, Jack has been pretending that Blue Puppy is his baby and he is BPs Daddy. Kinda cute but kinda strange. Even stranger that he says I'm BP's grandma.
6:21 a.m. - I get up and make coffee and pour milks x3. I do everything x3 these days.
7:05 - I get dressed and throw some laundry in. Jack and Molly play some new games on the iPad. Jack wants sausage and little pancakes for breakfast. Easy enough. Nine little pancakes and ten sausage links zapped in the microwave and divided by three bowls. I straighten the kitchen, do dishes, wipe off everything and contemplate deep cleaning the kitchen during nap time. Nah, I'll do that next week.
7:45 - I check on Natalie and she is sound asleep with her blanket over her face and her little feet in the rails of the crib. I make myself eggs for breakfast.
8:00 - I get Natalie up. She's all shivery shakey. She is dressed, milked, and breakfasted.
8:30 - We start getting ready for the Y. Hair x 2, teeth x 3, shoesshoesshoes, puppyblankeypuppy, out the door.
8:55 - I drop off the kids at child care and run on the treadmill for the next hour. Two months ago I started running and could barely do a mile. Today, I ran 4.5 and walked another 1.2. My goal is six miles by the end of summer.
10:30 - Home and shower. The big kids watch Natalie for me while I shower. They know to "come get Mommy if Baby Natalie cries, coughs, or does bad stuff". They have only had to get me once.
11:00 - Lunch is in the oven (fish sticks and fries with grapes and carrots). I change my sheets while Natalie helps. Then, I freak Natalie out by inflating the kiddie pool. She is terrified of the air pump. I wash out the pool and get it filling so we can swim before naps. Kids eat lunch.
11:30 - Out to swim. Jack and Molly spit water on each other and play monster. Natalie plays "pour water from one container to the other". I read.
12:30 - In the house, out of swimsuits, into clothes, down for naps by one. Mommy eats lunch.
3:17 - No one is awake yet. Awesome. I read in the paper that one of my former students was arrested for drug trafficking. Not awesome. Found out that I got a 98% A in the grad class I finished yesterday. I'm awesome.
3:34 - Hark, I hear the rumble of an awake child. Who is it going to be? If it's Molly, then she won't come out of my room. We tell her that she isn't allowed to get up until my clock says 3. Then, we set the clock back 45 minutes so she stays in bed until 3:45. We're still smarter than her.
3:40 - Jackson is up. Then, Molly is up. Then, Natalie is up (and stinky). Big kids are fighting over the iPad. I take it away and they both cry. I go outside to get the mail and garbage can. They're done fussing by the time I get back. All three settle down for a granola bar snack.
4:00 - Natalie is stinky again. Seriously. I change her and then play with the girls. Molly gives me a check up and Natalie just sits on me a lot.
5:15 - I make quesadillas for the kids and stuffed peppers for Andy and me. Everyone eats and the big kids run around crazy. We have an extensive talk about not saying "I'm going to kill you" to each other even if we are pretending. No, we don't pretend to kill our toys. No, you cannot pretend to kill somewhere else. Just no killing. Life lesson.
6:24 - Andy texts to let me know he's leaving work. It takes him 26 minutes to get home. Sometimes, they are the longest 26 minutes of the entire day. We race around and pick up all the toys. Supper is waiting for my husband and the house and children are clean... Very Stepford of me.
*Edit* Very indicative of my life right now, I was interrupted and never finished this post. Oh well. That's life right now.

April 8 - April 14 (Mommy's Spring Break)
Sunday: Easter Sunday. Andy had to work so the kids and I headed to church and to Mom and Dad's for lunch. The kids hunted eggs while Natalie napped. Jack and Molly were yellow and purple eggs. This was the first year that they really got into finding their ten eggs. Molly opened all her eggs in a neat little pile and stacked them back in her bag. Natalie didn't hunt eggs since she was sleeping. She had a pretty pitiful cold with bruises under her eyes and a really runny nose. We missed Andy being there but that is life for now.
Monday: We bummed around in the morning and I did laundry. Jack kept asking where we were going today. He played Sonic on the Wii a lot. I worried about Natalie since she didn't look much better. I was nervous that she might have an ear infection. Molly and I butted heads all day. I took a step class at the Y that was a great stress reliever.
Tuesday: Dropped Off Jack at preschool and got them both registered for next year. The girls and I went to Target. We bought crocs. Molly hates to sit in the cart because it hurts her bum. I let her sit on my purse. Picked up Jack from school and just survived the rest of the day. Molly is a puzzle-putting-together prodigy and a play dough mess maker.
Wednesday: Daddy's home for five days! Woohoo! Natalie is starting to feel better! Woohoo! Jack sucked his thumb and wiped his "suck" on me. I told him that it was gross. He replied "It's not gross to me!" and laughed maniacally. I went shopping with my friend from work after the kids went to bed and found lots of cute stuff.
Thursday: All three kids to the doctor for well checks at 9am. All are healthy weights and heights. They are all tall (70-97th percentile) and around 70th for weight. Natalie's ears are fine and she just has a cold. The doc prescribed a medicine for her diaper rash. Natalie got three shots, Jack got two, Molly got one. Jack doesn't like when the shots pinch. They all like their band aids and suckers. That doc visit probably cost about $1300. Kids are expensive. Jack went to Veggie Tales Live with Grandma W. for his birthday. I went to class. I think I only have 27 more class sessions until I graduate.
Friday: Got the kids up and ready. Gma W. dropped off Jack from spending the night. Little buddy had a blast but was pretty tired. He perked up when we got to Karen's. Andy and I headed to Grove City and shopped a ton. We went to some neat restaurants.
Saturday: Shopped some more and came home. We went to a movie and out to dinner. Came home to a quiet house and watched another movie. Relaxing!
I'll try to do better about remembering the funny stuff the kids say. It might be easier if I post a little each day. We'll see...

Natalie's First Birthday
Natalie is such a sweet little girl. It's hard to believe that she is more of a toddler than a baby anymore. She love macaroni and cheese and her pink blankey. She loves to give kisses and snuggle her face in my neck when she plays "shy". Just like the other two, she loves music and has a great sense of rhythm. She walks more than crawls now and is slowly adding some words to her repertoire.
Natalie had a sparkly pink and blue Snow Princess birthday and I think it was nice. I had the flu so I basically sat in a chair and tried not to ruin in. Andy did a great job being Mr. Mom and making the party happen.
Natalie is just so sweet and pleasant. We love her so much!
